Oil Pump
The oil pump is composed of two gears which are housed in the inside of the aluminium cover behind your timing belt. The timing belt drives the driven gear of the oil pump whose shaft is at the center of one of the sprockets that the timing belt rides on.
Changing the oil pump requires removal of the front case, which requires removal of the crankshaft pulley and sprocket, timing belt parts, etc.
