Oil Pump

Anyone know where the oil pump is located? Is it hard to change out the oil pump? Got any repair manual or know wher I can get one?

The oil pump is composed of two gears which are housed in the inside of the aluminium cover behind your timing belt. The timing belt drives the driven gear of the oil pump whose shaft is at the center of one of the sprockets that the timing belt rides on.

Changing the oil pump requires removal of the front case, which requires removal of the crankshaft pulley and sprocket, timing belt parts, etc.

You can get a repair manual at any Mitsubishi dealer . You can sometimes also find them on E-Bay.
