GT30R Turbo Kit for an 2005 Evo Mr

Hey guys I have a buddy who has a downpipe, 272 i/e cams, full exhaust, fuel pump, ecutek reflash, hks intake, Forged Pistons, titanium rods,he has valvesprings too, etc... and he's saving up for a GT30/37R full turbo kit with downpipe and all the goodies. What kinda power should he hopefully reach on a Dynojet with pump and then on race gas. Also, what kinda boost controller do you recommend him to get on his ride. Right now he's at 23 psi on his Ecutek Tune.

There's a big difference between the 30 and 37. With the 30, he should be fine with what you have listed. The only thing I didn't see is injectors and he would definately need those. On a dyno jet he could put down 400 whp on 93 and about 500 whp on race gas.

The 37 wouldn't put down much more power on pump, but should top 600 whp on race. He might want to think about better ems if he wants to put out 600 whp. I think he'll find the stock ECU to be limiting at that power.

^^^ I think he meant a 3037r... IIRC, this was outperformed by the 3071

yeah, that is the right turbo Series.... It comes with the downpipe and all the goodies. He's getting the AMS FMIC, injectors, and the boost controller on top of that.

Theoretically a 3037 with supporting mods that work together (big assumption here...) should make over 400 whp on 93 Octane and should make over 500 whp on C16 or VP109.

Can you keep up with your CBR 600RR in your Evo at certain speeds?

Tell him to save up for a Full-Race twin scroll GT3076 kit or an AMS turbo kit. Not cheap, but worth every penny, IMO.

Sweet thanks for the Answers JohnEB and others, but MAN.. why do people get so bothered about me doing research for my buddy. Can't friends help friends out anymore or what? His internet connection is not the best at home so he asked me for some help so I'm here to see what i can do for him. No need to get worked up over nothing. lol. Just here trying to get some intellectual answers and logical ones for a car. Regardless if I own an STi or anything it should not matter if I do research for another car.
