Titanium = thin and lets tons of noise get out. SS is heavier, but keeps the sound down.

Greddy Ti is ment for off-road use. Just use silencer when on public roads, and take it off while racing ... Who cares how much power u lose with silencer on while you stuck in traffic ?

I have the US version of Greddy Ti that has a straight lip (not rolled), and you can't see the silencer when installed. It slides all the way in. Only 1 hole on the bottom of the can where you put the bolt to hold the silencer. Can you post pics of your Ti-R with the silencer on ? wondering how it looks

You could lose up to 70whp...That's what we lost when we put the "silencer" on mine. If you think about it, it makes perfect sense. You have turned your 3" exhaust into a 1.5" exhaust. It could actually destroy your engine depending on how/what it was tuned for...

ye i will post some pics, you can see the silencer inside the pipe.
I have been driving around with the silencer on and it is quite, but it does rob big power i can feel it on the butt dyno.

i reckon i am gonna try the resonated test pipe and then if i really want it very quite I will just put silencer in.

One other thing when the silencer is in when yoou go WOT is whistles like a ****....LOL!

maybe you can run 2 maps , 1 for without the silencer, and 2nd with. I thought about it if I decide to buy Vishnu Exede next year.

wrong... how would you destroy your engine? The ecu compensates if you're running too rich or lean. Tunes only affect open loop at wot, unless you're advanced with a standalone, or if you're me. Even at WOT, if it detects detonation it lowers timing to compensate. YOu'll be in more trouble if you run Arco premium gas. The only truth in that statement is that you are losing power.

Word to the thread creator:
You bought a loud exhaust knowing it's loud. Either put the silencer on, install a resonator, or suck it up. The best solution for you would be a electronic cut-out, even though you run a possibility of leaky exhausts, which are quite annoying.

I have the real full titanium TI, no resonator, and my neighborhood loves me.

I knew when i bought it would be loud but i was not expecting this.

anyways, gonna slap a resonated test pipe and drive it like that, if it still to loud I
will look for a different exhaust

i am sure my neighborhood is also gonna start loving me !

I don't think a resonator is going to lower the volume as much as you want it to. It's just a loud exhaust, period. Good luck with it, at least it looks nice, right?

no it wont. the only way to quite the exhaust up is to install a high flow cat

Why did you buy a race exhaust if the sound bothers you, by the way I have the same exhaust it was loud at first but you should get used to it.

I have the exhaust with a resonated test pipe from WORKS.

It's still loud, and it certainly does drone. I can't compare it to a regular test pipe, but I can tolerate it with an RTP (barely).

wow i can't believe you are compaining about the rsr exmag. It is one of the quietest aftermarket catback exhaust made for the Evo. Get a high flow cat or just go back to stock if you want to shut her up.
