Good aftermarket wastegates?

I am new to boosted cars. I was wondering if it is worth it to get an aftermarket wastgate for my US Evo 8? What are some good ones to look at and also what is the benefit of an aftermarket wastegate?

Thanks
Chris

Tial...

I don't think it is worth it if you already have an IW turbo. My friend is running a 40MM on his WRX with a IW turbo. Venting to Atmo. He did it to curtail the boost spikes. He loves it. Whoooooooooooooop WhooooooooooooP!

Tial...

Tial... You can't beat them for the price. The only real advantage on a turbo that already has a IW in better boost regulation/holds more boost.

Not a mod that you will need on a stock car for a lOOOOOOONG time. Just my advice.

You don't need it. I am only guessing by your newbie status that your new. and probably don't have any mods on the car yet?
Last thing you need to think about is the wastegate.

Get a boost controller before wastegate. Tial is about the best. The larger the MM on wastegate the better it is able to hold constant boost level.
