Help with Injector Duty Cycle
do you know your AFR at 6.5 and 7.5k rpm? I am at 84-85% w/t 680cc injectors at 6.5k rpm (@11.5afr), which would be over 100% on stock injectors. if you are running afr of around 11.5 I would not worry about it, but if you are at say 12, I would upgrade the injectors... With 680cc, I got headroom for extra fuel for when the temps are lower

This is a non-issue for me now, because my tune was too rich (10.5)
Now that I have a wideband, I run 11.5 at 3000rpm tapering to 11.0 at 7000rpm
My duty cycle is about 95% tops

I thought you were at 102% IDC at 7.5k rpm? I would not worry about upgrading injectors with 11AFR - thats still on the safe side
I got a question for you guys running 100% + duty cycle on your injectors, do you just drag race your car, or do you run it on a track as well. I can't imagine 100% duty cycle being good for the injectors for a prolonged amount of time.
Thats the thing im confused about... I am at 95% idc at 6000rpm.. But my wideband is at 10.0 flat till 7100rpm!!!! Shouldnt this be leaning out as I pass 6,000rpm?? I stopped upping the boost once I hit 21psi and im still at 10.0 flat with stock evo 8 injectors!!
MixMaster, is your 357whp at The Shop, cause if so, those numbers are scaled to DynoJet levels.
Also, how happy are you with the GSC's ? Did they give you a noticeable gain?
I'm thinking that with such poor cam results on IXs, I may skip them and go straight to a 20G-9LT

The dyno was @ Swift Motorsports in Norwich, CT. Theirs reads pretty low. I put down 220hp/230ftlbs completely stock on their dyno. I like the GSC cams. Before the cams, I could hold 24psi from 5500rpm to redline, now it drops pretty quickly to 20psi @ redline. That tells me they help flow quite a bit more up top.

what wideband are you running ? how do you know you are running 10.0 ? is this because of the wideband display or just a log and conversion ? It sounds as if you are running extremely rich and need to take fuel away. If you are running the AEM UEGO then you are probably below 10.0. I could be lost in the sauce because i am just scanning thru this trying to find the answers to the questions i asked, but i didnt see the answer.
Thanks for the added input.. Other people went off topic and I gave up. lol My aem uego says im at 10.0 (display) I logged in evoscan (no wideband input yet) but it shows only 1 count of knock between shifts.. If I was lenaing out wouldnt I be getting added knock as well? .. Thats what I dont understand, since im on stock injectors and the formula says at 6000rpm im at 95% idc.. So I would assume It would lean out all the way to 7100.. But its doesnt!!

should drop a lot, and you will actually be able to read your a/f on your gauge. The uego's lower limit is 10.0. you have to be crazy rich in order to not see a reading
big ric.. I had a flash done by ttp for my stock setup with mods .. I flashed back to OEM rom settings knowing that it would be a little more rich.. (alot more air needs alot more fuel) Should I flash back to the ttp email flash and log that? Or is that just asking for trouble? Thanks for all your help and everyones input

what i tend to do when i am not sure of what a/f's or knock i may see, i inch into a log.... i will do a pull from 2500 or so to 5000, check for knock, then i carry it a bit farther until i see i am safe or i need to make adjustments if i see something scary. If TTP flashed you for your mods, run that flash and do what i suggested. I have heard a few people with issues with their base flashes, but they always seem to be more than happy to help people out with them. I've never heard of them turning someone off because they have their money or anything. They seem like some good guys from what i keep reading here
Funny you say that cuz on the way home from work I pulled over and reflashed my car back to the ttp flash (for my stock turbo and all my mods).. Did a 3rd gear pull at my local track and Its scary fast how quick the mph got up there ... Got 1 count of knock when the wastegate opened and the leanest I saw was 11.1 A/F from 6000 ish to 7600!! (89 mph) In 1st gear I saw 10.8 A/F .. I also noticed in 3rd gear that instead of an 18.9 IDC I saw 16.xx as a peak.. ( Running less rich helped not overwork my injectors I assume) Thanks for the help!!!! Now I need to install my snow alky kit!
