you should take the turbo off and give it to me...

but seriously... and not to be rude. if you dont know aht is required for the turbo then you really shouldnt be messing with stuff like that. just add the basic bolt ons and use your stock turbo until you learn more about the setup you want to add. now im guess by your post that your pretty new to the car and modding it. but i might be wrong. if so sorry for the quick judge.

but yeah anyway. i wouldnt mess with stuff like a turbo upgrade 9=(esspecially a big 35r setup), unless you really know what your doing and are ready to experience the full project.

also im saying this, just cause i recently did a 50 trim setup on my evo, and even though ive done a good number of turbo kits on other cars and dsms, it still took me 2 weeks and a lot of extra cash to get everything i needed done right.

welp yeah. just my 2cents. take it or leave it.

well i wasnt talking about extra mods needed... i was just refering to whats needed to complete the turbo kit. like all your exhaust work, hoses, oil lines, fitting, etc etc. the kit i did was a completely custom made kit i did myself. so it took a while and was a pain.

if the turbo was a direct bolt on turbo, then it would be cake. just swap it out and dont overboost until you get some headstuds , fuel, and a new gasket.

however a 1st gen dsm turbo wont bolt right up to the evo, therefore custom stuff is needed. btw heres a pic of my car and my kit. just so you know im not full of crap.

$175 for another exhaust housing from Precision to bolt it to an Evo 8 and up style T3 manifold.

Yup, first thing is to find out what turbine housing is on there. Could be t3 or the bolt on dsm housing. Tho a 35r with the bolt on housing isn't a great combo for that large a turbo. It is possible. Is there an external wastegate on your dads car?

Yup, I had one on my 2G Eclipse. It was a bolt on turbine housing from PTE. GT35RLS-M or something. Not an ideal setup, but it worked ok...
