I believe one of the reasons more IX owners are not using these cams are due to a lack of availabilty. All of the Tomei Procams are special order items. They only go into production once they are ordered whilst Cosworth, Kelford and others seem to be more available. And just for referance Tomei makes 270's, 280's and 290 Procams. All of them have 11.5 mm of lift on the Exhaust and Intake side and have a hydraulic or solid lifter option. Sharkbite had a set of 280's on his IX and Evan Smith known here as Esevo has a set of 270's on his IX as well. I know the Shark was extremely satisfied with his results. I'm not sure if Evan has his car running again.

Now that's something I wasnt aware of. My workshop is a distributor for tomei parts and they have ready stock... Procams 270... I were comparing these with cosworth 272 cams... I thought I saw quite a number of dealers selling them though when I was googling and searching for feedback

I wish that were true sir. I searched and even called TomeiUSA. According to them, there are'nt any 270 Procams instock in the U.S. They did have a 270 Type R which is obviously different from the Procams. Where is this shop of yours? Bye the way, a lot of the shops that advertise them for sale, don't have them in stock. Ask me how I know?

I am also very interested in these cams as well - I will be upgrading to S2's but running an evo 9 - most of my friends are using stock cams; availability issues? Sorry for the dumb question.
