Ever watch Old School? Will Farrell did it on his ride. But dont tell. It isn't exactly "street legal."

The throttlebody is a very poor heat exchanger. Regardless of what temp it runs at, the amount of heat imparted on the charge air as it passes through is negligible. It is unlikely that you would even be able to measure the gains.

As I said in the other thread about this last week, the only reason I see to do this mod is to eliminate the lines for various reasons, and to bypass a bad FIAV which will wreak havoc with your idle control. I ran my 2g without the FIAV but with an ISC, as well as without either, for a year or two. There were no measureable performance gains, but idle speed became stable without having to replace that ****box FIAV.

It's on my list of **** to do, since my FIAV is porked from the blown head gasket. The parts are nearly identical to the DSM parts.
