Angry My Broken Evo...

So I was driving home today from Best Buy and when I pulled into the driveway, I was letting the car idle for the turbo to cool off and the car died, and I mean DIED. Its just shut off and wouldnt restart. I had the car towed to the the local dealership (a sad sight indeed) and when they started testing it, the tech said that there was no spark and no injector pulse.. what the HELL couldve caused this? Ive worked with a lot of cars before, I worked for Toyota for a couple years and Ive never seen anything like this before. Any Ideas? I have some mods but nothing with the electronics or ignition system.

My loaner car is a Galant...

The ECU gets the signal of when to activate the injectors and the coils from the crankshaft sensor. It could be that.

The tech and I discussed this for a brief minute. This or perhaps another sensor.

No injector pulse and no spark... sounds like EFI circuit. If the immoblilizer looses the key program it will kill the EFI circuit. Have the dealer check the key functions to make sure the ECU is still reading the key. If not you may have a bad key or immobilizer ECU. Have seen this happen a few times working at the dealer. Good Luck.

That sounds very plausible... The dealer is supposed to call today with a better idea of what happened. If they still dont know, I will mention this. Thanks!
