Starter install...

My starter went bad on my 03 EVO and had to replace it. Just to let you all know, if you need a starter for an 03, it will take a long time to get one. No one carries it and if they say they can get it, I would have a hard time believing it. I ordered one that was "in stock" from AUTOPARTSGIANT.COM and after FOUR WEEKS of saying they are waiting for a tracking number, they told me they can't get one and canceled my order!!!!

I ended up getting one from the dealer.

Anyway, the install of the actual starter was easy, and the removal and reinstall of the entire undertray took the most time. For the starter, there is a sheet metal shield with four screws, two mounting bolts for the body, and the positive lead. That's it. Oh yeah, and the 263 snap screws for the undertray.

Starts right up now. Nice.
