Today I was driving (Evo IX MR 15,500 miles) and I put it in N slowing down for a red. I try to go to First and I noticed the shifter was all stift and I couldnt put it into any gears. After wiggling it around it got loose again and i was able to put it into all my gears. This Happened twice and then it stopped.

Also my 4th gear gear, when i spool up the turbo a little and shift from 3rd to 4th it grinds but driving normal and low rpm shifting it doesnt. Also when I let off the gas I hear a rattle but I'm still on stock clutch and applying gas again the sound goes away?

Anyone have any clue what the problem's could be?

 

I have the same problem, exept it grinds when I shift into 5th. but I don't know about the rattle.

in my case, it is probably a synchro problem. But I am not sure. I am at 18k miles.
