Ok my little reveiw of the S1 for a IX

Ok I installed the S1 a while ago. I finally got to a dyno to see before and afters . First I will start out saying when these were first installed. I turned the boost down to about 19 psi with a base map to start tuning. At 19 psi with cams I made more 2 byte load than 25 psi without cams. The car feels like a completely different car now. The car just pulls and pulls. I was not to concerned with peak numbers but I did pick up 35 whp peak. The midrange difference feels incredible and my dyno sheets just confirms this. Anyone looking for cams for stock turbo anything under a 35r the S1 are for you.

The car was dynoed at the same dyno. No mods have changed, boost slightly higher by about a .5 psi, and weather was about 10 degrees warmer than my previous dyno. Let me know what you guys think. A friend did a little overlay for me.
Mods are, tbe, intake, licp, uicp, fp, ebc, and cams, 93 octane. Stock turbo, stck ecu AFRs were dead on 11.5 till redline. A huge thanks goes out to John Bradley.

Hey kreionic,

Those are some really impressive numbers, the S1's really wake up the mid-range...your stock numbers (without cams) were also good considering you were not dyno tune! Did you log on the dyno with Evoscan?

Everyone seems to like these cams.

What cams did you have in before, stock?

How is the idle with the S1's?

Yes stock cams before. The S1 one the IX if you want a lope you need to adjust the mivec. I believe the 8 are pretty lopey but don't quote me on that

excellent, if you take into account the dyno reading higher than ours, the numbers/gains look pretty similar!! awesome!

I dont have a video of the idle. Like I said above the idle is very stock like unless you want them to lope. If you want lope adjust the mivec tables. I believe the lope on the 8 are pretty intense but I am not 100% on that
