Intake manifold question

Ok after some "spirited" driving, I notice my RPM's are jumping at idle and the car is driving like ****e. So I'm thinking I got a vacuum hose leak. I search and search for loose hoses. Nothing. So a start the engine tap the throttle to listen for it. That's when I notice it's coming from the intake manifold. I see it rise up and separate at the seam where the weld is. So I'm guessing that would give the symptoms of a vaccum hose, because that's where the vacuum effect starts because of the pistons drawing air in right? So my question is would it be safe to weld it back since the weld just came apart, because I really don't have 800 dollars to spend on another one at the moment?
