Ok here is the deal.

I have a 97 mirage with an evo iv engine. I have had this set-up for about 5 months. I washed the car this morning and now it sounds like I am running extremely lean. The car runs for about 15 seconds then cuts off and the cel comes on. turn off the key and try again and the same thing happens. what could be the problem?

 

sounds like water in a wire harness somewhere. ignition system maybe?? did you pressure wash the engine?? if so, check the plug wires inside the head at the plug. may have water in the plug holes.

 

didn't pressure wash the eng bay but I am thinking that there may be water in the harness somewhere. May have to remove and recover the harness loom may be cracked.

 

Thats what I was thinking. Has to be the deal.

 

Thanks for the help!!!! Got it out and dried up replaced the loom and put a bit of heatshrink around it. Should be good and watertight now!
