Recently my car went in the shop for a bad t-case. it first started when I would get on my car in first gear when it would hit about 5000rpm to redline it would start roaring/whining.The more I drove the car the louder it got untim finally it started whining all the time. The Mitsu dealership replaced my T-case and the new one is doing the same thing. could this be the t-case again or just a some other sound that may have been a coincidence before?

 

im not expert here, but it sounds like the problem might not be the transfer case, but something similar in the drive train, take it back to the sealership and tell them that the problem was not fixed...

 

The sound started right before my old t-case died. when i got my car back it didn't make that sound again until today after having 450miles on my new t-case. it only seems to make the noise in first. just sick on my stomach. almost to the point i want to sell my evo.
