Help me understand Exhaust

Hey,

I am trying to understand what exactly entails the full turbo-back exhaust.

1. Down pipe?
2. Cat?
3. Striaght pipe?
4. muffler?

I am just making sure there is only 1 cat... and the uppipe is not considered part of exhaust right?

Thanks much!

A turbo back exhaust is everthing from the O2 housing back. It includes the downpipe which bolts to your o2 housing. Then goes to a cat, high flow cat or a test pipe. Then you have the rest of the exhaust piping which usually is two other pipes last one includes your muffler.

Our cars stock only have one cat. Our cars do not have an up pipe. That is a WRX term. Ours is a downpipe.

Hope that helps

Your turbo....
O2 housings
Downpipe
Cat or test pipe
Cat back (most times 2 sections)

roger-that. All of the above. I dont think most count the O2 housing when claiming a "turbo back"
