Manifold

I am taking my manifold off my car to tap for the egt sensor and i wanted to know if while it was off if i should switch it to something better. I right now have a stock turbo and might later on go to an evo green or an evo 9 ported. What manifold is the best one to go with? Stock, ported, and tubular? what brand?

Depends on your final goals --- if you're DEFinitely going big turbo eventually, you'll end up selling any stock variant manifold you end up with now. Just plan appropriately. I'd say ported / coated stocker would be great in the interim.

For any stock based turbo, i.e. FP Green or Evo 9 with porting, a ported stock manifold is the best bang for the buck.

Ceramic coating can help with keeping the heat of your exhaust in to help with spool a small bit...will also help with underhood temps and keeping your engine compartment looking tidy.

Ported and coated from PPI, they are a vendor on this site. If you really want something aftermarket go with the Full-Race mani

Thank You

We offer 2 different coatings or for a inexpensive alternative we can just port yours for $65. We also have cores to start from. If I can help you, let me know. Check out our site.

You should go with porting your stock manifold. I have mine ported and i love it.. Your exhaust note will get deeper and you can definetly feel the power..

ye ported
buschur did a test a while ago and the only mani that produced more power than the ported stocker was a full race but then again it was also $900.
and gains were just up top.

If you know someone with a spare stocker see if you can borrow it and then have it ported. Then when yours come back and you install it give them your stock manifold....

Then you have no real down time?
