which one will yield more gains, and which is better for daily driving, wont the tubular put out a lot more heat in the engine baby

Why not call or PM, Jarrod Barnett, at Buschur Racing, as he runs this turbo on his personal Evo? He'll be able to answer your question.

I do run this on the car as well as I was the first to try the 3065 on an Evo. I was going to switch the tubular for the *bling* factor but stuck with our standard cast manifold. I know on other turbo's we have tested between the tubular and the cast some gains were shown with the tubular.

My car went 10.83 with a best MPH of 133. Thats only on 29 psi.

On 100% stock block, head, intake manifold, throttlebody, ignition, etc.. with only our stages 1-4, AEM EMS and this turbo kit my car went 11.04 @ 128mph with a 1.74 60'.

My car is and was full weight at the time of running both of those #'s.

I dont think you would go wrong with either manifold to tell you the truth.

i just installed a 3065 with the buschur (shearer) tubular manifold on my 9 which has a fully built motor with AEM. I'll be getting it tuned ASAP

Jrod, what mods did you add to go from the 11.0@128 to 10.8@133 ?

I did a few things.

I added our JE forged pistons and Crower rods for added safety in the bottom end. I put in our custom grind cams, valve springs & retainers, ported the stock intake mani, 1000cc injectors and our modified fuel pump.

The head was still left stock except the valve springs & retainers. It was NOT ported, polished, o-ringed, etc...

The only real power mod that was done was the cams. The rest were just supporting mods. Just the cams picked up 43ft. whp and 48ft. trq. I had 272's in the car on the 11.0 pass and went to our custom grind when it dipped into the 10's. I turned the boost up on the next pass but snapped a rear axle leaving the line. With the few more psi the car would easily go 10.5 / 10.6 range. Not bad for a full weight street car right?

haha, I must not be searching hard enough then.

I was actually thinking about the BR cast mani 50 trim kit, but I've also been researching gt30's and was wondering about spool characteristics versus the two turbos on the cast manifolds. If the spool is not too drasticly different between the two then it makes sense to just skip the 50trim. I looking for 400-450ish wheel power on pump with decent enough spool to not be annoying driving around daily. (91 **** btw)

Better get Sherlock Holmes in on the case. lol

I would recommend looking at a 20G-9LT instead of a 50 trim. The 20G-9LT flows the same amount of air and puts out the same power.

The only 30 series turbo I would recommend is the 3065. The 3076 falls in the same class with the 50 trim. 20G-9LT is less money and just as good.

The 3065 is more comparable to the 35R. You will see 20psi at 4400rpm on the 3065 with the cast manifold.

My car made 398whp on 22psi on straight 94 octane on our low reading Mustang dyno.

looks like I better do some 20glt9/gt3065 comps and research then. THanks.

It's probably just elementary.
