Until you've done a full set of bolt-ons, and are dying to turn up the boost and perhaps alter your fuel mix ---- stockers are fine. When the inevitable finally occurs, you'll probably want to run a step colder plug. Lancershop will sell you colder iridium NGK's for $144 a set, or Nolimit will sell you colder iridium Denso's for less than half of that. NGK versus Denso? Ask for Chris at nolimit.

there aren't any for the IX, but even if there were, why would you want to? You'd be removing a $60 set of plugs that work great and last 60k miles while inserting an $8 set of plugs that isn't needed and only lasts 5k miles. I'm curious as to why you'd want to remove perfectly good parts to replace them with lesser parts.

Iridium plugs can last 60k miles, and the stock plugs are Iridium.

2 steps colder? That sucks for most IXs, which would want 1 step colder at most.
