HKS AFR Setttings

Could we start a post with the HKS AFR settings?

I have a full 3" (no cat) and the car is running pig rich. I'd like to get some initial numbers before heading on the dyno.

What #'s are being used..

Right on

I'll post mine as well. I've been told that you can lean out as much as 12% above 5K. I won't go that high until I have a wideband on the dyno.

Cars are like fingerprints in that each has to be mapped individually. Things like weather, humidity, altitude, quality of gas, etc all have a significant impact on what fuel settings should be (as do figures such as base timing, etc.) Best bet is to get a datalogger, start with a baseline log of your car (in stock form ideally), and log as mods are made. The idea with the piggybacks is essentially to make the car think it is running stock equipment....this will give you the most consistent gains possible day to day.

that is true, all differant... , but nothing beats a dyno tune, but it will at least get you an idea...

ASPURSELL, when are you going to AAM? Maybe I'll come up and see how you do!

After the dyno, post the numbers. I'd like to see how different yours, mine and Ultimates are (if we could get a hold of those).

BTW - putting a wide band in the mid-pipe is too far back? I dont have a cat, so I was going to use the rear bung. Good idea?

Anything to make a buck.

As soon as I get some AFR numbers i'll post them immediately. Even if it isnt dyno tuned it gives a good baseline.

I might be right behind you that day if I can't get in during the week. My last dyno session I had 3 leaks in my exhaust and wasn't getting an accurate a/f reading.
