cam break in?

cam break in?

so a buddy of mine was telling me i have to break my cams in when i install them some crap about holding 3500 rpms for liek 10 mins ive never heard of this, i just got gsc 280 cams with supertech single coil chromoly springs

Never heard of that. I would let the engine heat cycle a few times. I would also put a few hundred miles on it and change oil. No wot for break in either.

no need for break-in, we install cams and road tune the same day.

I think the process you are talking about has to do with the lifters as the cams need no break in

This is advice for engines with lifters that slide on the cam lobes.

ditto! the mitsu manual states the break-in for lifters, and make sure you bleed them before installing the cam
