I forgot to bring one of the m8x1.25 exhaust studs with me to work today to measure. I'm needing to know the length of the part that goes into the head. I'm going to use a "time-sert" to fix the stripped hole but am unsure of the length I need.

bump... if all else fails I'll try to find something to measure it with tonight.

 

Usually exhaust studs go in at about 1/2 inch. Which is around 12mm.

 

I will get the 11.7mm length kit and report back in a week or so with how it turned out! Thanks

 

why not just get some from a local mitsu dealer i think they are like a dollar a piece most time they have them instock.

 

The threads in the head are stripped... I should have it fixed soon tho! Never did find anywhere online to order "time-serts" so I'll use a helicoil for now.
