new turbo help

I just finished intalling a GT35R turbo and race intercooler w piping, ams small radiator, arp head studs. I took it out for a quick test drive and it ran great at low rpm's. But as soon as I hit 4000-4500 rpms, it breaks up. I got it to hit about 16-17 PSI once without any detonation. A/F ratio was 10.9-11.2 for that one run. After that I can't get it to hit boost. it just breaks up or flutters. other mods are 3''TBE w no cat, comp 280 cams, 780 injectors, UTEC,halmann MBC, intake and warbro pump. The MBC is all the way down. I was running +4timing but I put it back to 0 degrees. I looked at all of the interccoler piping and it seems to be intact. Any suggestion would be appreciated. Thanks

Well I don't know what the problem is but I think 780s are too small. People run out of inj with a 35r with 880s. I think you need to step up to a 1000cc injtr. Also the first thing to try is a presure test to look for a boost leak. Are you still running a MAF?

Yes you do need 1000cc injectors. Do you have colder plugs? Did you do a boost leak test? It's probably because of the injectors and you not tuned.

It seems to be breaking up around 3500-5000rpms mostly. I got it to make boost at 6000-7500rpm's and it blew off the hose clamps on the LICP's. I would like to find some t-clamps to replace the cheap hose clamps. for now I doubled them up. what is the easiest way to check for a boost leak.

Yep ... and a gap which is too large for the mass of air to be burned, and the air fuel ratio.

Couldn't hurt to quickly re-gap the plugs to a little less, if you're sure you have the right ones.

+1, blowing out spark. Gap your plugs tighter.

If that's not it, maybe a fuel cut issue. I dont know much about the UTEC. But in the ECU there is a value that if load exceeds this it cuts fuel.
