Cool horrible partial throttle any ideas?

Hello,

My car feels like it all ways wants me to go 100% throttle. If i let up on the throttle the car almost bucks. It also does this at partial throttle. Passengers find it annoying and so do I. I can usually baby the clutch and throttle and make it smoother but its really annoyance. I started when I changed to bushar 10.5 hotside, bushar exhausted ported and coated manifold, and inter cooler pipes, new suction pipe.

Would a hks evc help at all I currently have a manual controller(hallman).

thank you

Jeremy

I had a similar problem. The car just didn't do much at partial throttle. I got retuned and the problem went away. I'm not exactly sure what causes it though.

Have you gotten tune for the intake? Have you changed the BOV/DV? May need re-tuning or could be flutter from BOV.

when you say you have a "new suction pipe" is it a metal maf pipe/intake pipe? if so try re installing your stock plastic maf pipe.

That's just how the Evo works, especially if you have a strong BOV.

would this help

Crank Vents solve the problem of pressure buildup in the engine during boost due to pressure entering thru the PVC valve. These devices are one-way valves that can stop 1000psi. The big one goes between the manifold and PVC valve (shown on left) to stop boost from entering the engine. The small one goes on the valve cover vent to pump air out (not in), building a vacuum in the crankcase. This results in more horsepower (stop pumping air below the piston). If your dip stick pops out under boost, this problem will be cured also.

I had issue after installing cams as well. I think it's just the way it is. I'm kind of confused by your original post though. It just sounds to me like you're experiencing compressor surge due to a strong BOV.
