Im glad i asked u guys andthanks for pointing out my stupidity...im changing the oil today and was considering trying royal purple. i have heard so many mixed reviews, but well see.......

At least you caught your mistakes before anything bad happened.

I just got my third Oil Analysis back a couple weeks ago, this is with RP 10-30 w/3K intervals. Almost zero material wear and will quote from Blacklab "RP is working for you, I wouldn't change a thing".
This motor has been running RP for the past 10K miles, before that M1 10-30 for the first 18K and had Rod Knock. Bearings replaced (Rod and Crank) along with polishing the crank, under warrenty. Car was completely stock, after warrenty had it tuned and started using RP.

First off there is already a 300+ page thread about this with a poll.

I use 140w gear oil and a mix of chicken gravy for the high revving!!
You waste chicken gravy on your Evo?!?!?! By God that is too good to use.

Pay attention if the oil meets API SL or SM, ACEA A3/B3/B4, HTHS>3,5 , TBN>10, viscosity index>160, FULL synthetic please.

If the oil meets the MB229.5 is good indication of the quality too.

The best oils in my opinion: Geman Castrol 0W30 and Mobil1 0W40

Only the best for my Evo! The beef gravy kept clogging my oil feed line.
