N-Tercooler Intercooler chiller

Perhaps you don't want to spray nitrous inside your motor, for whatever reasons. Here's a neat system that gives you the intercooling effects of spraying compressed gas, but with a simpler and completely external approach.

Basically, the N-tercooler harnesses the extreme cold produced when high-pressure gas is released. The gas (we recommend CO2) sprays directly on your intercooler to lower the intercooler temp to well below freezing. The result is a tremendous drop in intake temperatures. Dyno tests have seen increases of over 50 horsepower!

Kit includes 10-pound nitrous bottle, intercooler sprayer bar, all necessary hoses and fittings, switch, and wiring kit.

The kit is on sale: $399.00

What do you think about this product?

who is gonna fill a nitrouse tank with co2?
it prolly cost the same amout for a nos or a co2 fill
id just go with the nos its easier to find and you prolly wont have to go through the hassle of finding someone to fill the tank for you

paintball guy wont be able to do it because the fittings dont fit from a paintball co2 tank to a nos tank
thats one
two who knows how many pounds of co2 you can put inside a nos tank?

I found some information on this product on the Nitrous Express website.

For supercharged or turbo applications where nitrous is not an option, NX offers another alternative, the “N-tercooler”. Using either nitrous or CO2 this unit can reduce air inlet temperatures dramatically. In a recent dyno test, a turbocharged Honda, equipped with an NX “N-tercooler ”, increased its baseline by an astounding 52 horsepower! If it makes horsepower, it must be Nitrous Express!

orifice should be same dia. but the threading isn't (not problem)
I probably have use a different tank anyways, they cant ship to where I live...gonna see if they will ship the kit w/o the tank.
PS. my buddy uses compressed air(paintball)
Co2 is free at the paintball field, worse comes worse I can go to our extinguisher maint. shop

We'll be adding an N-Tercooler to our own Evo sometime soon... I'll be sure to get some Evo dyno numbers.

Cooling is a good thing and water injection is usable with the CO2 or NO2 systems (BTW, should you have an under the hood oil or fuel line leak, NO2 will support combustion in your engine compartment where as CO2 will suppress it). With with the denser chilled air that external spray systems provide. In theory, the resulting higher cylinder pressures will increase the potential benefits that H2O injection provides. It would be very nice to have a post from someone using the Aquamist system showing before and after dyno read outs.
