Need new clutch soon...suggestions??

So its basically between the exedy twin plate or the act street disc. I heard the exedy is better but i really dont wanna spend that type of money right now and thought the act street would do the job.
When i get my car back prob in about a couple weeks its gonna have these mods in:
intake, 3" turboback with testpipe, 02 housing, intercooler, lower intercooler pipe, S1 cams, 255 fuel pump, MBC set to 23 with a mellon flash. its also gonna have wiseco pistons, eagle rods, supertech valves, and arp head studs.
So with this set up i think an act street would be fine right?
Just so your not wondering why i have new pistons and rods and all...the shop that put in my cams messed up with the timing so there fixing everything for me and putting the pistons, valves, and head studs in for me at no charge. So in the end i guess it was worth the 3 weeks i had to wait cuz im not gonna be paying anything and free install on a bunch of parts.
Back to the clutch...i want something that is gonna be good for daily driving and not to crazy. Im leaning towards the act since the price isn't too bad and i heard it drives nicely. Not sure how much i'll be pushing with this set up but i might be upgrading the turbo but that might not be till later on....ACT would be good for the current set up?? or should i just save up and go for the exedy twin??
thanks

I got ACT HD on my 03 evo and i push 402 whp and 342 wtq and it holds great. No lock outs at high rpms and its easy to drive on the street but it takes a little getting use to . I launch the car hard and it grabs like a champ everytime. Just get the clutch installed the proper way by a pro and you should not have any problems. Good luck.

oh wow did anyone ever tell you how funny you are...uhh...nice try...done that...been reading on exedy and act clutches since last night....reason for this thread is so that ppl can give me there input on if they think the act would hold up to my current set up (and i doubt everyone has the same set) or if i should just save up and go for the exedy. Now back to ppl who are actually usefull in this world

How is it on daily driving...im leaning towards the act street because i dont want something that is not too annoying to drive daily...only problem is there are people saying "its perfect and great for daily driving" and then theres people saying "its not that good for a daily driver and they dont like it". Guess its really just a personal preference and its up too the driver and how they like it. I think i am gonna go for the act for now since i think it would hold to my current set up and the price looks good lol

Im really considering to just get the act right now...maybe later on when i upgrade the turbo i'll move up to the exedy.
Alot of people i know say to stay away from act but i've heard alot of people on here say that its good and worth it. Basically i wont be lauching it alot and i'll have that current set up i listed above. Any one with an act street clutch let me know how you like it.

Sorry to go off topic, but I just hope for your sake that the shop you took your car to can get the rest of the parts installed correctly since they can't seem to install cams the right way.

I too was looking at upgrading my clutch, and it seem that the Exedy is the most popular, but again I would hate to spend that type of money on a clutch.

Yea i know that exedy is better but im not gonna be doing a whole lot of lauching and im not pushing any crazy numbers...thats why im most likely gonna go with the act cuz i think it will fit what im looking for at this time.

About the shop thing you where talking about...there bringing it to the machine shop to get the head put back together with all the new parts so i know it will get done right this time. It just sucks cuz i've been out of a car for almost 2 weeks and its gonna be prob another week and a half.

The only differences between the SD and HD is that the HD has a heavier pressure plate and will hold more power. The Exedy Hd twin is prob one of the best clutches you can put in your evo, i run it on myn also. If you dont want to spend that much i would suggest using the ACT HDSS or ACT XTSS, if anyone needs a price on a Clutch shoot me a pm, we have great pricing on them.

Thanks,
Chris
