No, it was a normal round cylinder one. Most I saw were mounted on the passenger side near the strut tower.

Sorry - I was in a foul mood when I posted earlier. Also, my comment was not directed specifically at the ARC can - that post snuck in while I was posting. I don't know if the ARC can is a good one or not.

Many of the catch cans are crap in that they don't do anything - yeah, they have a line going in and a line going out, but they don't have any sort of filtering material in them to make sure oil vapor is collected. Last I knew there are only a select few that actually filter out airborne oil as they are intended. I had a Perrin which was crap - looked nice, but did absolutely nothing. It was bone dry after 2 years of use. My DC3 drains actual oil after only 2 months of use.

Just make sure whatever can you get has material in it to actually collect oil - an empty can with 2 nipples on it isn't going to cut it. The other argument that's been made in previous catch can threads is the PCV side is probably more important than the crankcase breather portion, so if a catch can doesn't incorporate the PCV line into its design, once again it's not doing the job.

Hope that helps.

Its all good This one claims to have filtering material too and if you read the web page on it sounds pretty good. Just wondering since there about the same price if anyone had a comparison.

For the same price, the DC3 gives you a dual can setup (either welded together or 2 separate cans - gives you multiple mounting options) that allows you to put one can in between the valve cover and the intake, and another between the PCV valve and the crankcase. You'd need 2 of those AGP cans to do the same job as the DC3. Seems a no brainer at that point.
