This is another one of those things that makes you wanna slap someone.

I bought this motor used, and i looked on the forum for some new plugs for it so i went with "denso ikh24" i got them in they are nice and shinny. Well i pull the old plugs out and they are ngk Bkre ....... which are the same size and the evo8 plugs that i had laying around. So did the idiot i had bought the motor from use the wrong plugs or am i going insane? The denso ikh24 are much longer then the ones i pulled out. "this is out of a Evo9"

 

I have read about several guys running 8 plugs in a 9 with no issues....

 

Ok it just freaked me out i though i had maybe bought the wrong plugs

 

Consider yourself lucky. A buddy of mine just bought an '05 STI. Pull the plugs, the prevous owner used Bosch Platinum. Called the prevous owner up, he said the dealer did that.
