Some stock EvoIII & EvoVIII Turbo Questions

Hi Folks:

Want to thank you for the great resource of information. I've been searching around for a bit and found a perfect match for one of my projects. It happens to be the Evo8 turbo. I do have some things I'm pondering though...

Is the factory turbo clock-able (it will be converted to an internal gate)?

Despite the common sense answer, would it drastically harm or reduce performance running a non divided collector to the factory divided housing (it will be knife edged to help things flow)?

I plan on only running about 14-18lbs on a 2.1L motor, would this be a bad choice if I was looking for good power in the ranges of 3000-7000rpm?

Are there any reliability issues with said units?

Thanks!!

the factory turbo comes internaly gated it uses an external acctuator like all the other internaly gated turbos. im not sure why you would want to run less then stock boost think it would make more power. I say the evo 8 turbo would be fine it comes factory on a 2.0 motor. reliability is fine i run 30psi daily for 20k on the stock turbo i havent touched in a good while.
