it might be the transmisson or bad install of the clutch . 1,3,4,&5 are ok but 2 pop(kick) off back into neutral. i try holding it with both hand and it gave a loud grind. i check my linkage today and nothing. got new stock clutch in not to long ago and never abused. in the past, 2nd always took an extra sec to get into. i think she finally giving out i want to know if its just the clutch or the tranny or both? so i can fix it the right way and all in one shot deal.

Don't force it into gear or you'll end up causing damage to the linkage.

How many miles on the car, are you the first owner and how many times have you launched the car?
