need help asap

i have a 05 evo8... i am doin my clutch install and i have one major problem.. my throw out bearing is stuck/ceased to my pressure plate... anyone know how i can get it off? i have been prying on it and everything i can think of and it still wont budge... please need help...

there is a way to pop the bearing out the pressure plate, you need a long screwdriver, put it through the inspection hole on the bottom on the trans and squeeze it between the bearing and the plate and if you kinda twist the screwdriver and pry the right way you can get it to pop out

i had this same problem, i guess i wasnt prying in the right spot. but yeah just pry between the plate and the bearing

i would try the discs but if i'm already paying for a clutch job might as well upgrade everything but i'm only saying this because i'm still on the stocker

or there is a cut out on the back of the transmission that is a rectangular shapped with little squares in it. us a chisel and knock that out and just pull the pressure plate bolts. If all else fails hit the TOB fork with a hammer you wont bend it. You would pop the retainer clip out. of the pressureplate itself.
