BIG problem Need Help!!!!

Ok, I installed my forge MBC and actuator. After getting the car run about 21psi a day or so later I noticed a weird sound comingfrom the exhaust manifold/turbo area. It sounds like grabbing a sheet of aluminum foil and crumbling it in your hands or like metaL vibrating on something. it only does it when the car is coming down in RMP's about 1,000 to be exact. Dont know what it might be, if I dont figure it out soon I'm gonna take everything off and take it to the dealer. What do you guys think?

I'm sorry I'm not really helping, but the Forge MBC is known to have horrible boost problems. I would've thought they fixed this by now.

I just installed a hallman mbc and ran fine yesterday but noticed the exact same thing today sounds almost like a crackling or constant tapping. I got above the engine bay and it seems that the nose is coming from the intake manifold or fuel rail. A guy at autozone said its the injectors do to the cold weather making noise through the intake manifold, is this true? I am also very interested in feedback

try running a vac line directly from the turbo to the WGA and see what you boost to

the noise sounds like an exhaust leak from the exhaust mani or lifter tick...? Sounds more so like an exhaust leak to me though.

Hope you didn't go WOT without a tune! Check your exhaust and make sure is tight and not hitting other parts of the car this will cause all kinds of weird noise. Since you changed the actuator the spring is obviously stiffer and that is probably why you can't boost less than 21psi. Always go back to the last thing you did and double check yourself to make sure everything is good. Good luck with the dealers they will probably have a recently out of high school kid work or try to diagnose your problem! PS next time put your list of mods this may help to pin point your prob, is hard enough doing it without seeing the car.

The noise only started after the mbc was installed, nothing on any exhaust componants were touched. in my case the boost was actually lowered by 2 psi yet it sounds like a fast tapping coming from either the injectors or intake mani? and it only makes the sound around idle, not when throttle in open
