Hey guys, I have recently noticed my driver Recaro seats squeak. If I am sitting on it and turn my torso to the right, it squeaks. It seems to squeak when I am giving pressure to the side cushions (the part that supports you in hard turns).

Have any of you guys had the same squeak?

 

I just sat in my car and leaned in all directions and got no squeaking at all.

 

My passenger seat squeaks. Glad I'm not the only one I'm taking it to the dealership when I can get a free day.

mine too and where the fabric tucks into the plastic on the passenger's seat has come undone, getting two new upper portions of the seats, on backorder, tech said that if they get enough complaints about the seats that they will be pulled from the assembly line, my squeak in the drivers seat is getting down right embarrassing, hell i'm not even a big guy like 5' 7" at a buck sixty, fabric is coming up more than the normal allotance on the drivers seat as well, oh yes this will be warrantied. not to hijack but the damned dealership scratched one of my rims during my second service, noticed it right before my 3rd and they admitted it was there fault, went to pick it up the other day thinking that i would be able to keep my old rim, when i said throw the old one in the trunk they had a ****ing coniption fit, preaching to me how they were doing "me" a favor, told the guy to calm down and asked him just what they were planning to do with the damaged rim, they said it was going to be repared and offered to sell it to me for half price, i was pissed that they wouldn't give me what seem to be rightfully mine since it was damaged by them, retail on these rims from the stealership is supposedly $750, if i was rich and had $325 lying around i would have picked it up, bastards, so watch out, looks like mitsu has no problem repairing damaged **** and reselling it for full ****ing retail. ahhhh.... sorry guys just had to vent on this one, very unprofessional way to treat someone who purchased a $30,000 piece of machinery from you.

Mine squeaks until I make the slightest back rest adjustment... Anyone find the back-dash rattle aswell (near the rear wiper)?

 

So the dealer will warranty our seats?

And yes, my rear dash area makes a tick tick tick noise when on the freeway.........

 

Spray a couple squirts of silicon spray into the seat hinge--problem solved (for me at least.)

 

I just developed the squeak in my driver seat this morning. Narrowed it down to the back of the side bolsters, and sure enough I noted exactly what you described above. The fabric is not correctly retained in the plastic seat-back.

Did the dealer successfully address this on your EVO? I only have 1,000 miles on the car and don't plan on tolerating this for the next 6 years of ownership..

Btw, I'm physically about the same size as you. 5'8", 160. I am amazed that the seats are falling apart after only 1,000 miles with a guy my size.

I had a squeak for a little while. I figured out that it was the seatbelt connector thingy (yeah I'm technical like that), so I just wiggled it around a little and it went away.

I had that same ticking noise from the dash on my galant

 

I've got squeeks on both seats! Dealerships will warranty this? What if they try to pull some normal wear and tear bs on you?
