need a lil insight

im going to be installing cosworth cams in my 9 soon and was wondering what the advantages are of doing springs and retainers also. are there and other vavle train items that can go along w/ this. i saw the supertech spring and retainers for sale and was wondering what they offer power wise as opposed to using the stock ones. ill also be doing arp head studs w/ this
thanks in advance, cj

People who are going to be raising their rev limiter usually like to upgrade their springs/retainers

If you're staying stock rev limiter though, there's really not an urgent need to upgrade

I wouldn't do it personally. I like a little margin for error, and I don't think that revving it that high leaves much room for safety.

Remember, this isn't a Honda, especially if you're still on stock turbo.

You'll never make power high enough in the RPM range to warrant new springs and retainers with the stock turbo.
