Buying Timing belt
Buying Timing belt
Ok, I got 56k on odo, Im buying OEM Timing belt from ProStreet, What else would you recommed to buy? any additonal belts I should replace? parts...
Well, for starters, there are two timing belts on the engine, not one.
Next, purchase the special tools for adjusting the timing belt.
And you need to make or buy a tool for holding the crankshaft while you are removing the crankshaft bolt.
For removing the bolt you need an air wrench.
From some steel stock or drill bits, you need to make go and no go feeler gauges to check the tensioner plunger protrusion.
Additional parts I would consider if I were doing the job (and I will be in less than a year) include a water pump, tensioner and the three idler pulleys.
