i want to know what the best set up is. iam going to use hks cams. i have stock turbo and bottom end. should i go 280/280 or 264/272 or 272/272/or 272/280 or 280/280? i have hurd of a bunch of combinations. i just want the best all round power.

 

280's all the way, do it right the first time! I know three different people that went with all the combinations you can come up with 264/272, 272/272, etc. and ended up getting the 280's after they wasted their money! If you get tuned by a good tuner you will have no idle issues.

 

first off do you plan on upgrading your turbo? If so what size? because cars that are pushing 1000HP some of them run 272's. 280's are way to big for stock turbo, infact GSC recommends that you run 264 to 268 until you go past a GT30R. If you go 35R or 42R 272/272 would be fine. Just think about what you plan to do in the future, if your not planing on a huge set up then you dont need huge cams just somthing to think about.

 

the cam question is also driving me crazy. i was originally planning to keep the stock turbo.....so i purchased the S1's. then i decided to go the fpgreen route so i got the cossies. buschur is going to be doing the install and i still can't decide what cams to bring.

Personally I would go with either the 272 or the 280s. I got the 272s cuz the 280s were not out yet.. (Speaking of the HKS cams) My idle has a slight pause in it. I got the vishnu stage 1+ and man I love it...

 

i plan on keeping the stock turbo. 4 awhile anyway. could i do 272/280 would that be good 4 mid and high range if i went 280/280 how would that effect my bottom end and mid range? i still want a good bottom end. i dont want it to be a top end monster.
