CEL came on.

So today i was driving the car and the Check engine light came on. The car had the oil and oil filter replaced recently. What could it be? The clutch is bad but i dont see why that would make it come on. Any input guys? I was thinking it could be the O2 sensor.

It could be a ton of things...possibly. Did you check your oil level after the change? I had a dealer give me a car back with not a drop of oil in it. How many miles? Any recent mods?

Do you want us to guess? Get it checked at Autozone.. it's free.

Since you didnt offer any background I'll assume the car is 100% stock and it's a P0300. If you put an exhaust on it then I'd bet it's a o2 related code.

I didnt check the oil level and the car is not stock. It has all piping, exhaust, turbo timer, boost control and thats bout it. I would never let any person at Autozone touch the car.

Autozone = free. Have it checked out, and pursue the problem from there.

like they said above, go to autozone so you can get it hooked up to an obd2 scanner so you can find what's wrong...it can be a ton of things.

you cant mess the car up plugging in a scan tool to the obd. Well guess you could but you really have to be an idiot. Your ohter choices are buy a scan tool. Or if you have a laptop and tactrix cable DL the scan tool

You won't let someone at Autozone scan the car, but you'll have people online who have never seen the car try to diagnose the problem?

Well you can always go to the stealership and pay them 70 bux to scan the code... hahahah. Or you can go to autozone and have them scan the code for free. Or invest in a nice obd2 scanner (that's what I did)

No, instead when guys tried to help you, you refused their help. The only way to find out what the CEL is for is to either use a scan tool or find someone locally with a tactrix cable and a laptop. Having someone blindly guessing from 3000miles away is not the solution.
