GT35R perfect for a high 10 second street car?

Im wanting to confirm my choice on a turbo upgrade. Im thinking about going with the GT35R and my goal is high 10s. Anything between 10.7-10.9 (prefferably on pump gas), and maybe even mid 10s on methanol... if possible. What do you guys suggest?

This is a street car, I would just like to be able to achieve a '10' as a status symbol. j/k, but I would like a consistant 10 second car on stock block.

Stock block will be a ticking time bomb especially if it's a DD. People have done it, but not too many people and not for too long. At least do drop in pistons/rods/hardware for safety. It would suck to blow the motor and have a bad core which adds approx. 1800$ to a normaly rebuild price. Just my opinion, but I hate doing things twice.

no 10's without race gas or meth... dont even bother with a 35r with either one of those. Stick with an FPGreen or 50 Trim... And from the looks of your mod list... You have a lot more to worry about than a turbo. You need a lot more mods to take advantage of a big turbo like that... Just my 2c

10's with just pump will be very very hard. Its very doable with pump+meth though and supporting mods. I drive mine everyday with the same tune that I ran the 10.6 on. Only internal mods are cams and headstuds. I agree that you need quite afew other mods first though.

You know the answer to this question, 10s on a stock block is very very rare and in most cases very short lived with any turbo.

I have been to the track 3 times with my car. Once on pump/boost and went 11.3's, at 124.
10's are doable, did it once, before I was asked to leave All my other runs a few weeks back were LOW 11.0's, 11.1's, at 126 to 129 on a 97deg day
So yeah I would say 10's for a street car will happen on a 35r... but only with Buschurs, parts
JJ and I have done it

**EDIT** I was just thinking Trent (IHUNTV8) does this everytime he goes to the track on a 35r. He's built though.

there are many guys around pushing over 500 on the stock block for a LONG time.. its all in the tuning.

35r on a stock block is very doable.. vwjeff and NIevo have both proven it.. emery from streettuned is going to do it as well

If you are looking for a high 10, I would say gt3040. GT35 can put you in low 10's, but like everyone says supporting mods and a good tune.
