I spoke my peace and sent Paul a long PM. I have no desire to see his thread closed, so you all have a nice day. Try not to drag me back in here with a stupid comment

The comment about our cams.........whatever.

The comment about ours and AMS's car being so light, again whatever. Your car has been gutted all year. It's like when you celebrated from running a 9.72 at 146 on the 37r kit and celebrating because it was faster than my RS. Your car was on a biased ply drag tire, no interior and tiny *** drag brakes from AMS. Running 9.72 at 146 to my 9.77 at 148 was a joke to be honest. 2 mph slower with a larger turbo and car that was drag only at that point........

I.

I have the same problem here with the race tracks all being over crowded and having to wait hours to make 2 - 3 passes - one of the reasons I have put racing my car on hold for the time being - (racing was not a lot of fun in those conditions)

I have told Al countless times to either gut the car and make it light or just shut up, we all own race cars and non of these cars are worthy of street use or even being called EVo's at this point. An EVO is a great handling, comfortable, world class stopping car that can haul 5 adults around. A small 4 door with one/two seats, tiny brakes, no exhaust, no air bags, no door beams etc., etc. are not worthy of being called a real EVO, so just gut the damn thing and shut up and run it. I tell one of my good friends this, so saying it to anyone else.....................should be fine.

I am not looking for a fight or to get this thread blown up and locked. I am simply stating some facts that are long over due to be stated.

Good luck with your HP goals.

Thanks for brining this up as its a subject which really makes me think a lot

At this point my car is legal to run in a a lot of various race classes - as it has full stock body work - stock doors and is heavy enough to meet say NHRA SRWD weight limits - at 3200 lbs. Also - I carry all the required NHRA saftey equipment and its certified to run to high 7's (not that it would do so).

A lot of the fast evos out there have for example a tube style front rad support and or carbon door skins / lexan windows which would make them all ineligable to compete in just about any class of racing I have usually ran my car in

Its a huge dilema for myself to try and take more weight out of the car and go faster (e.g. - door skins and lexan windows) - - but thereby rendering my car useless to race in many of the local races I like to attend

At some point along the way I lost interest in trying to be "the fastest" and just decided to enjoy racing my car as time permits and trying to win a few races along the way.

For now the car is just something I enjoy having and a machine I like to work on in my spare time and dream of running down the track a few times a year.

It is sort of ironic I guess that you have Buschur Racing whom undeniably makes amazing products. How many shortblocks and heads are they building every month? And how many threads of poor quality have you seen? Truly an amazing business.

But on the other hand, Dave's persona online is quite abrasive. And Buschur customer service had my friend who ordered a shortblock and head afraid to call because again, that abrasive attitude extends to customer service on the phone.

My friends and I like to joke about it.... to us Buschur is like this awesome racing outfit but they are all a bunch of dicks. And when I say that, I mean it in the most affectionate and comical way you can use that adjective. Often people with a lot of experience and knowledge like mentors and such are not the most friendly of people.

Just my 2 cents.

Yeah i hear ya AL i just made the decision and went for it. Im working on the wife right now to trade her car in for a Evo X so i can enjoy a daily driven car. Ive also been playing with my 99 Cummings Diesel for power. I have a feeling it would run 13s in the 1/4mile. Ive got compound Turbos on my X-Mas list

I think next time im going to ship my car like you did and fly!
yeah I hear ya, I actually invested in a truck/trailer to make it to these events. I used to drive my Evo to every event, race it, and drive back, but that's not practical anymore. Seeing as this is the last major event this year, I made arrangements ahead of time... car is in Chicago and I will fly in and I will trailer it from there.

I'm not one for slingin the shiet i like the ET's and MPH to speak for themselves......along w/ videos hehehe.

I'll just sit back, read, and hopefully learn what works and what doesn't from people w/ more money, knowledge, and experience than myself.

By the way Paul......why not come down to Cali for some racing.....we don't get too much wet weather here and the track stays open pretty much year round.

lmao, you are a straight up tool.bragging?me?lol...oh man thats good.do you have some kind of lobsession for me to remember my sig from like 6mths ago??***

and yes paul is "trying" to hang.he will not catch AMS'/Buschurs times or traps,i guarantee that.

worry about my own car and not what others do to theirs?isnt that what this whole thread is about?people crying over how much hp someone has,or the weight they are at?you have 2 grown ***in men argueing over the stupidest ****.

this is just pathetic.i can see this happening in maybe regional thread with 2 19yr old kids but 2 grown men.

paul, your car is bad.but if its really as sick as people/you say then take it to DSM shootout and prove it.thats what i would do.

I am gonna keep this short, but there are alot of tools in here and DB, if you let people dictate who you are gonna be, then what kind of person does that make you...? Think about it. Paul posts like nothing is being said. You let it get to you and say things like this is why I act the way I do, b/c people make me act this way. Its appalling that you are Vendor or how you have even made it this far in a business as big as yours, acting the way you do, to your customers and other people on this board. You obviously havent grown up at all, so stop acting like a drama queen 12 year old Buschur!
