How much power with my mods and what next??? please help!
I was just curious... what kind of power I am looking to get on my mods.. I just had it tuned by Mellon, which is GREAT!
here are my engine mods... I am using 93 octane
First of all its an '05 Evo 8 MR.
Ix turbo
Megan 02 housing
Walbro 255 Fuel Pump
PTE 680cc Injectors
AMS copy FMIC
AMS real LICP
Forge RS BOV
Turbo XS MBC set at 23lbs
Injen UICP
Injen hard pipe to turbo
Blitz 4" SUS Filter
DNP tubular manifold
Buschur 3" TBE w/Race Muffler
Exedy Twin Disk HD
GSC 264/272 Cams
Custom Tuned by MELLON
-I dont know .. the car just does not seem like it pulls that hard.. I got beat by 1 car from a roll by an EVO IX w/stage 1 buschur..
how much power do you think im making and any suggestions on next step to go to? Also, is there supposed to be a big lag when i hit the gas with the ix turbo?

Get on the dyno if you want to know - no reason to bench dyno, because every car is different.
No, there shouldn't be "big lag." It should feel the same as the stock turbo. It may be your fake FMIC.

Also why did you upgrade your injectors ?
Correct me if I'm wrong but not to many people use or like turbo xs mbc
What I would do
1) boost leak check
2) sell those injectors
Sell that fmic
sell that intake
3) buy real fmic nisei ams etc
buy halman forge mbc
put injen or k&n cone filter on
also put stock injectors back on
4) go for a retune on a dyno
But this is what i would do

The intercooler felt fine when I had the stock 8 turbo...
now that I put the 9 turbo, bigger injectors, and dnp manifold.. it is doing the lag..
I have a lot of friends that have the turbo xs boost controller and it is fine..
My tuner recommended me to get bigger injectors because my stock ones were getting maxed out.
any other ideas>?

You may want to check around the forums.It could be the AMS knockoff FMIC.Bushur Racing did a test on a ebay intercooler vs the authentic intercooler.I think it was the Real Bushur FMIC VS the ebay copy.If you can find the thread im sure it will answer some questions.You can never go wrong with authentic parts!
