I read the service manual and search but nowhere does it say on which side does the lift on the return gasket for the turbo pipe to oil pan go on. here is a picture of what I am talking about. I know that the protrusion goes one way but flip bump toward return pipe or pan? Thanks in advance.

 

when i did mine i put the bump toward the oil pan that was the way it was when i removed the original.
