that is a very poor test. the uicp should never get hot, it has a cooling fluid running through it always.

I'm sure you mean the throttle body, not the upper intercooler piping . . . .

So to change the piping or core all together you gotta drain the Intercooler first?

Drain the intercooler? Of what, air?

I'm guessing that you're referring to the radiator?

If so, then yes, but the intercooler requires no draining.

that's not at all what i mean. the intercooler pipe always has air moving through it (a cooling fluid, yes gases that move are considered fluids). this air is always cooling the pipe. it's the equivalent of saying that fan blades should be hot to the touch. they'll never ever be, becuase they're always moving through air.

if the air coming out of your intercooler is hot enough to be warming the intercooler piping in bulk then you probably don't have an intercooler.

in contrast i was never suggesting that coolant would cool a pipe, the coolant running through the throttle body is for warming it not cooling.

You may have to align the UICP so that it wont pop off.

That ARC pipe is wicked expensive!!!

I think im going with the ETS, because the injen dosent seem to sell the upper pipe seperately.
