turbo question!!!
turbo question!!!
hey i just hooked up my turbo and when i started it, the flange started smoking. the only thing is that i sprayed wd40 on it earlier cause it was a little rusty. do you think thats why it was smoking?? how could i tell if its the turbo smoking?? thanx

Did you figure out why you are blowing up turbos? Did you fix it?
The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.
Oh, and if there is a rank smell that smells like a cross between a petrochemical fire and burnt hair... yeah, it's WD40. If you put anti-seize on the bolts and use mechanical lock nuts, you won't need to use a penetration oil to pull it apart in the future

wow, never spray anything like that around the turbo.......the turbo is the hottest piece in the engine bay.............i would wash it off pronto.
if its rusty just get in there and clean it. maybe spray with wd and wipe off really good. gotta treat your ride like a queen man
