Post dyno charts on GT40R or GT42R.

Don't forget your engine spec and what you think about your setup.

I'm thinking about going from my GT3567R to a larger turbo but shorter duration cams, I have JUN 272 Solid ones to day but they are to lagy..

are you making a drag car?street car?JUN cams are actually good with a 42R(chris evo in florida gained 70awhp or so when he made a switch from hks to JUN.)

a 40R will usually make around 750-800awhp i believe.and a 42R of course around the 900s.

you are gonna need a built 2.0L for a big turbo set up like that.you are gonna want the high revving so you can use the turbo.

Now Chris in Florida had a 2.3L and AMS 42R and put down 903awhp and seemed to be ok.

No, it's more of a all around fun car.. But it's not street driven. Manly focus is track, but I like to to something that not everyone else has.. Here in Sweden we are a few with GT35, but non with GT40 or 42.

I know people in UK like Norris Design and RC Developments uses GT42R and get them to spool ~4800rpm on 2.4l machines so I was hoping I could achive the same spool with a GT4088R on my 2.2l.

With a properly mapped ECU you wouldn't have any problem with what you are expecting with the 4088 but not with a 42r!!

Good luck!!

our car has a 73 lbs/min comp wheel in the 35R, which is slightly larger i believe than a 40R... but it has the small .63 t3 hotside... which im changing shortly..

on my 2.3 with lots'o'headwork, we see 25psi around 4200rpm on 93 octane.

I got a Cosworth CNC 1mm+ head, JUN 272 Solid cams, JUN 2.2l engine..

So to spool up a 4088 ~4700 is no problems you think? It's hard to estimate how much boost a engine can take on pump fuel before it starts knocking, but I hope to land somewhere around 30psi.

Would a twinscroll manifold help anything?

There have to be someone on here that have dyno papers on a 4088 turbo evo?

Can get a hold of the GT4088R with v-band connections on the compressor outlet and downpipe?

We have a 2G at the shop w/ a 2.3L, built head, and a twinscroll 40R for comparison if you like.

I have a coupe of graphs of it if that will help.

We have not maxed the set-up out yet though. Approx. 580+ on our Mustang Dyno

Reine

Sorry about the confusion w/ the pm

Here a graph for ya. Can't remember exactly how much boost that was but i'm thinking it was up around 30ish. We were just getting started and ran out of fuel.

We shoul dhave new graphs on it this coming week as we just finished his fuel system so we should be able to run up to 40+psi as long as the head-gasket and L19's can hold it in........he doesn't run a o-ringed block ...........

And a short dyno vid for ya.

We like the turbo for what it's worth and what we plan w/ our cars.

We have another car coming out hopefully this week as well.........Evo9 2.1 de-stroked, twin-scroll 40r, FFTEC intake, FFTEC tubular ex. man that will keep the factory A/C.

I plan to either go to the HTA 35R or go w/ this twinscroll 40R set-up since we have the manifold jigged and ready to go!

I'm just trying to max out the 35R this year and will re-think things over winter while snowboarding in Tahoe lol.

Your cams make your car too laggy, so you are going to get a bigger turbo?

Yeah, that's exactly my intention.. *not*

I'm going to change my JUN rods, JUN pistons for other dittos with better crown design, higher compression.
I will also change my JUN 272 Solid cams for custom made dittos that have proved them self in other high power Evos before.
Manifold might be exchanged to a twin scroll and there for I'm asking about bigger turbos.

So instead of question me you could post a dyno paper or stay out of my thread, your choice..
