low boost help

i removed the hood screen on my car recently and it happened to rain. just my luck. my check engine light is on and my boost is only at 10-11psi . i checked for a boost leak. i didnt see anything everything was tight. however my air intake was noticeably louder. i never heard it like that before. i think the rain shorted out the air intake box. i cant bring it to a computer to see what the check engine light code is untill tuesday. what are the possiblities. why is my boost only at 10-11. if im right about that little box how much is it. thanks

seems like you shorted out your boost solenoid on the EVC.

well with a HKS EVC, there a main unit (the screen) and then there the solenoid, under the hood. I think your solenoid shorted out, leaving you with WG boost, which is about 11lbs. Your screen would still work, but the solenoid controls the boost and its doesnt seem to be working, from what you have explained.
