looking into buying a evo

I'm looking into trading in my Scion tC. The motor was fully built and was mkaing 454 whp and 460tq on a gt3076r. I've had problems with it ever since I started making power. I'm now interested in a 03+ evo. I've got a few question's though on the evo. I searched around today and found some answer's but I never really found the limitation's for stock block. I looked into the Peakboost, AMS, and Full Race 3076r kit. I dont have any intention's on building the block at the moment, but cam's, full exhaust, fuel setup, engine manage, and maybe some head work are in the plans. I noticed alot of people are using ARP head stud's, are people having problems with lifting the head or blow the head gasket?
Thanks

It seems more people are having problems with headstuds that do the 1x1 method than those who are having problems with the stock studs.

With that said, be sure to check out my evo FS

I have yet to see a lifted head because of stretched head bolts on a EVO.

the stock internals on an evo are good for around 500hp. as for the headstuds, i think the reason why people replace them is so they dont lift the head or blow a head gasket. really the only way you really need to replace the stock studs is if youre doing internals or making more power

I'd be perfectly fine with 450awhp over the current 450fwhp i have now. That being said would headstuds be recommended?

You'll be fine without them.
