i checked all clamps but they seem pretty tight.
i 'll be taking her to the dealer tomorrow to have it checked out.
you guys should all get a boost gauge at least to see if you're getting full boost.

i hope the dealer can fix this easily.

One note.. most mechanical boost gauges suck.. it could be the gauge is off...

took my car to the dealer today. the service manager told me that since its not a mitsubish approved gauge its possible that the gauge can be inaccurate which is totally understandable.
they are going to get a gauge that is mitsu approved on monday and test it on the car.

i am more than willing to pay for the work if it is my boost gauge that is faulty but i am pretty sure that is not the case.
BTW, i was filling the intercooler fluid today and it just leaks underneath the car like it has a hole somewhere.
I am getting tired of taking it back to the dealer.

also, the boost gauge i have is mechenical Apex-i kind.

Geez.. if they really wanted to check it they should be able to via the ODBII interface.. Tell them to just check that.. Why buy something?? Sounds like they are just trying to sell you stuff..

BTW what does your vacuum read?

Your IC sprayer tank is not leeking, it has an over flow. You can see the tube for it from the top if you look down. Just fill the level up to that tube and thats it. That tank wonders down under the car so don't worry it will have fluid in it.

Are you sure it's not just getting over filled? Try this put some water in it and wait a day or so and see if it still sprays, my money is on it will. Also I think Mitsu did the boost and rich this way is because when a dumb *** puts 87 oct in his car and takes it up in the mountains what do you think will happen? If everyone ran 93 all the time and had the same type of driving they could run it higher.

Warmed up.. My car never shows below 19 when idleing.

If yours is showing 17, that would make me thing the gauge is incorrect.. but if it shows 19, it may not be.

anyways, i am still not getting 19lbs of boost anywhere in gear.
it only peaks at 17lbs on 5th gear, and it peaks at 16lbs on all other gears.

Depending on the gauge you should be able to calibrate it.. But this will require a good gauge for reference.. either that or send it back and get a new one. If vacuum is off, i am sure boost is too.

i just rechecked the vacum.
while its warming up it stays around 16-17.
when warmed up it stays at 18 - 19 .
i think my boost gauge is ok.

thnx for the help though.
you seem like you know a lot about turbo charged cas then i do.
do you have a electronic or a mechenical gauge on your car?
the reason why bought a mechanical gauge is because my friend who is a mechanic said mechanical gauges are more accurate.

should i return the gauge and get a electronic?

Naw, mechanical gauges work find and are super cheap compared to electronic gauges..

So it sounds like your gauge is probably right.. my vacuum is 17-18 and 19 when warm.

In which case i would let the dealer handle it.. there is something wrong.. I would definatly guess leak if the boost gauge is good.
