Get a friend to hold the wrench that holds the cam, and muscle the bolt.

camshafts and arp headstuds have successfully been installed! i also made a video of me bleeding a lifter since there have been a lot of requests on here for one. not sure if someone made one already, but i'll post it if not. no tapping noises for me! i cant wait to install my AMS FMIC and then get a Mellon Flash!

it took me a lot longer than i expected. mainly because my girlfriend went out shopping so i had to watch my baby for a couple hours and i also had to go to autozone and sears to buy a couple tools to intsall the ARP Headstuds (deep 13mm 12 pt socket and an allen head socket). removing the cam bearing caps was a B**** at first but i found a technique that worked for me (prying them off with a flathead!) the guide on evomoto is pretty much spot on except for a couple extra steps for the Evo 9. just remember to thoroughly check and make sure everything is back together before trying to drive the car. i forgot to put the accessory belt back on the water pump pulley and forgot to take my allen key out of the accessory belt tensioner. i noticed this when i tried reversing out of my driveway and my steering wheel was really hard to turn. other than that the installation was straight forward and very time consuming.

I know this is old, but is this the tool I need if I'm going to install cams with the timing belt on the car?

It seems like a great deal to me:

Thanks
