Is there a difference between the two exhausts? Or is there a difference between the non ACD and the ACD exhausts?

 

Catback is the same.......except the VIII had the rear O2 in the exhaust after the cat and the IX is in the cat.

Just make sure you get a dp that fits ACD no matter if for the VIII or IX, everything else will bolt right up.

 

So the O2 sensor is in the same proximity? I have an AMS TBE exhaust and I am wondering if it will bolt onto an Evo IX?

 

It should work fine. There is enough length on the 02 sensors wiring to reach. Just make sure you get washers for the under body brace. The exhaust drum on the 9 also lacks the internal backpressure flap. Evo 9 stock exhausts are louder than the Evo 8s.

Has anyone taken an AMS TBE off of an VIII and put it on a IX? Any downpipe issues?

 

havent tried it, all i can tell you is that i gotta dc sports downpipe on my IX and it comes like 2 millimeters away from the transfer case. never rubbed after 10,000 miles....this may be a bit off subject but who cares !
